Here's How Hackers Are Stealing Your Fingerprints

You better watch out when making a peace sign in your photos! Hackers could steal your fingerprint from a high resolution photograph. In a video for Business Insider, Isao Echizen said, "If they're able to copy that fingerprint, fake ones can be produced. One can use it to assume another's identity, such as accessing a smartphone or breaking and entering into a restricted area such as an apartment."

Echizen was able to show how fingerprints could be stolen with a near-perfect match. Don't go rush to delete all of your pictures with peace signs, apparently there's no evidence of hackers stealing fingerprints from photos. Phew.
