WATCH: James Taylor Talks Auditioning For McCartney, Harrison

James Taylor’s new album, Before This World, marks his 16th studio release, and while he’s released a number of albums through various labels, his debut album came out on The Beatles’ Apple Records.

Of course, in order to sign a record deal, some sort of audition had to take place, which Taylor recalled when he stopped by on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Seriously...just the thought of having to audition for Paul McCartney and George Harrison (in 1968, no less) makes me nervous.  In fact, I’d be lying if I said I weren’t sweating just a little bit.

…And now, to break this nerve-wracking mood, “Two James Taylors On A Seesaw,” because I still can’t get this out of my head from a couple of nights ago on The Tonight Show.
