5 Things That Remind Us of Paul McCartney

Happy birthday to the legendary Paul McCartney!  At 73, Sir Paul is better than ever and is still one of the best live draws in music today.  In honor of his special day, here are five things that remind us of Macca:

McCartney is listed as the most successful songwriter of all time in the 2009 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records. He has 188 Top 40 singles.

Paul became Sir Paul when he became a British knight in 1997.

Macca is also quite the accomplished painter, with over 70 paintings shown in a gallery in Liverpool

Mondays


Paul is a notable vegetarian and animal rights activist. Why Mondays you ask? Well, he's been a big supporter of Meat Free Monday campaign and is featured in the video above.  

Nancy Reagan

We know what you're thinking:  "Why Nancy Reagan?!"  Because Paul is "just saying no" to pot! McCartney revealed in an interview with the Daily Mirror that he gave up the habit to set a good example for his children and grandchildren.
